Akey leads W-F girls with 24 points

Karissa Akey had her biggest night of the season so far, as the Weyauwega-Fremont senior scored a game-high 24 points Dec. 18 in a 68-32 Central Wisconsin-8 Conference win over Manawa.
W-F led 33-12 at halftime and outscored the Wolves 35-20 the rest of the way.
Alyssa Goode added nine points for the Indians, while Kaissidee Zander led the Wolves with six.
Both teams have nonconference home games scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22. W-F will host Waupaca, while Manawa will face Tigerton.
