Christmas at the courthouse

DHHS staff decorate hallways for holidays

The hallways on the second floor of the Waupaca County Courthouse are decorated for Christmas.

The Department of Health and Human Services held a contest for most creative decorations. Staff in each unit chose a holiday theme for their hallways.

The Behavioral Health Unit won top honors for their decorations, based on the Polar Express story.

They obtained an authentic lantern, rail crossing sign and conductor’s uniform from Mike Kirk with the Waupaca Historical Society.

Other themes included “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” Elf on the Shelf,” gingerbread houses and the Peanuts.
