Mary Jane Sieth, age 88, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
Mary was born in New London on April 3, 1927, the youngest daughter of the late Lucien and Alvina (Boville) Brault. She was united in marriage to John A. Millard on June 16, 1945 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Together they raised seven daughters. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, cooking, gardening and reading. She and daughter Paula made blankets for critically ill children with Project Linus. Gardening became a huge part of her life, and along the way she earned the title of Master Gardener.
She is survived by her children: Jo Ann Bassett, Winneconne; Paula Millard, Appleton; Linda Meshke, New London; Donna (Larry) Thorpe, New London; Ann Captain, Oregon; Patricia Millard, Minnesota; Barbara (John) Millard, Oregon; and also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband (John Millard) in 1968, her second husband, Harlan Sieth in 2011, four brothers: Alvin, Bernard, Ken and James Brault, and two sisters, Marcella Gottgetreu and Delores Flanagan.
A memorial service for Mary Jane will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday until the time of the service.
