Library hosts Rotary exhibit

Highlights include exchange student, tech ed presentations

The Waupaca Area Public Library will host an exhibit about the Waupaca Breakfast Rotary Club from Jan. 11 through Feb. 20.

The exhibit will open with a reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11. Refreshments will be served and the Rotary Band will perform. The reception is free and open to the public.

Following the reception, Kelsey Klismet will present a slide show and share her experiences as a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Indonesia during her junior year of high school.

Chartered in 1993, Waupaca Rotary has hosted more than 35 foreign students and sent more than 35 Waupaca students abroad.

The exhibit will also feature Mike Waldschmidt, a tech ed teacher at Waupaca Middle School, who will demonstrate a 3D printer from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13. The printer was purchased with a Rotary Educational Grant.

Visitors to the exhibit will learn about Rotary’s work as both a local and international service club.
