Wega-Fremont girls win against Iola-Scandy

The Weyauwega-Fremont Indians defeated the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds girls’ basketball team by 45-29 during a Thursday conference match-up in Iola.
The Indians were up 20-14 at the half led by Alyssa Goode who scored 6 points.
Leighten Fischer had 11 points for Iola-Scandinavia.
The T-Birds continued to struggle in the second half, and the Indians once again out-scored them, 25-15.
Hailey Krause had the hot hand for the Indians in the second half, scoring 9 of her 11 points, while Fischer poured in 8 more for the T-Birds.
Leading the scoring for Iola-Scandinavia was Fischer with 19, followed by Kendall Johnson with 9.
Goode topped the scoring for Weyauwega-Fremont with 14, followed by Hailey Krause with 11.
Weyauwega-Fremont will be back in action on Monday, Feb. 1 when the host the Shiocton Chiefs.
Iola-Scandinavia will take on Bonduel at home on Feb. 2.
