Polar Bears dance at state

Hortonville team places third, sixth

The Hortonville High School dance team competed at the Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches State Dance Competition on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The dance team, coached by Kiara Wolfgram and assistant coach Hannah Hathaway, placed third in Division 2 Pom and sixth in Division 1 jazz.

Hortonville junior Arianna LaCoursiere and sophomore Molly Streubel were named Division 1 All-State dancers.

The team will head to the Contest of Champions National Dance Competition in Orlando, Florida, from March 3-9.

Dance team members
Seniors: Hannah Caves (team captain), Emily Halfman, Sophie Hathaway (team captain) and Kayla Liesch.

Juniors: Sydnee Dobberstein, Jensen Garske, Karissa Jochims, Nicole Johnson, Arianna LaCoursiere (team captain) and Rianne Rosenow.

Sophomores: Mati Duin, Mikaela Gerhartz, Natalie Lasinski, Cecily Loveland, Isabella McNichols, Molly Streubel, Brenna Sullivan and Tasha Voss.

Freshmen: Maiah Duin, Alison O’Brien, Sydney Randel and Chloe Skrober.
