Dorothea A. Gehrt, age 91 of Clintonville, passed away Saturday morning, February 20, 2016 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
Dorothea was born on October 4, 1924 in Milwaukee as the daughter of the late Virgil and Pearl (Lamp) Wulfson. After moving to Clintonville with her family, Dorothea graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1942. She was united in marriage to Raymond Gehrt. The couple had two children and later divorced. Dorothea worked numerous jobs which took her to Appleton and Milwaukee while raising her family. She moved back to Clintonville after her retirement where she was a past member of Christus Lutheran Church. Dorothea enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was artistic and just fun person to be around.
Survivors include: her children, Minna (Steve) Ponto, Hayden, ID and Scott Gehrt, Clintonville; grandchildren: Kevin and Jamie Clark, Anchorage, AK; Kari (Dustin) Cumming, Omaha, NE; and Andrew and Benjamin Gehrt, Holcombe; great-grandchildren: Gavin and Brennan Cumming and Alex and Kaylee Gehrt; and her brother, Virgil Wulfson Jr, Houston, TX. Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents.
Inurnment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville in the spring. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
