Poole, Beatrice “Bea” E.

Beatrice “Bea” E. Poole, age 92 of Clintonville, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2016 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.

Beatrice was born in Townsend on July 26, 1923 as the daughter of the late Edward and Eunice (Meyer) Westphal. She attended grade school in Lakewood and graduated from Wabeno High School. Bea then moved to Long Beach, CA where she worked at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Manufacturer in the parts department during WWII. She moved back to Wisconsin in 1945. Bea was united in marriage to Wesley Poole and the couple raised two sons and farmed near Leeman. The couple later divorced and Bea moved to Clintonville in 1981. She was a faithful member of Christ Congregational United Church of Christ in Clintonville for many years where she was active in many church activities. In her mid 50s, Bea went back to school to become a CNA in New London and later an LPN working locally. She enjoyed baking, cooking, needlework, making afghans, and yard work. Bea was a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother and took any opportunity to spend time with them.

Survivors include: her son, Barry (Anne) Poole, Marion; two grandchildren, Andrew (Mara) Poole, Hugo, MN and Steven (Kelli) Poole, Bozeman, MT; great-grandchildren: Joseph, Svitlana, Aloysius “Louie”, Maria, Ancita, Cordelia “Cora”; sisters, Bernice Baseley, Raton, NM and Janice Mauer, Klamath Falls, OR. and sister-in-law, Jan Westphal, Yukon, OK. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, a son Mark in 1979, brothers, Gerald and Edward Westphal, and sisters, Jean King and Joyce Bourassa.

Bea’s Memorial service will be held Saturday April 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
