Meshke, John “Jack”

John “Jack” Meshke, age 83, went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Brookedale Assisted Living in Neenah.

He was born on October 15, 1932 in New London, son of the late Leo and Olga (Felsner) Meshke. Jack graduated from New London High School in 1950. He attended U.W. Oshkosh for Business. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. On October 25, 1958, he married Jean M. Wolfe at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. The marriage was blessed with one daughter and two sons. Jack sold insurance for Metropolitan Life for many years. He always said he’d like to get some of that easy “easy money”. He was a life-long member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Jack enjoyed playing sheepshead, golf, and watching the Packers and Brewers. He especially enjoyed spending time with family. Even the smallest kind gesture was followed by a personal thank you card from Jack.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Judi (Mike) Klundt, Neenah; sons, Jay Meshke, CO; Jon (Jody) Meshke, De Pere; grandchildren: Jacob, Alexis, and Jace. He is further survived by his sisters, Eileen Redemann and Carol Hulet; brothers-in-law, Tom (Sue) Wolfe, Doug (Pat) Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Jane Kluge and Jeanne Crivello, also nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death his wife Jean; brother, David (Caroline) Meshke; brothers-in-law: Warren Redemann, Ted Hulet, Larry Wolfe, and Bruce Kluge.

The Christian Funeral for Jack will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. A visitation for Jack will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Military Honors will be held at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London is serving the family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookedale in Neenah, and also Asera Hospice, for their wonderful care and concern of Jack.
