Phyllis Thatcher, 86, Appleton, passed away peaceably on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Rennes Health & Rehab Center, Appleton .
She is now in her eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has been reunited with her husband, Stan. She was born on March 14, 1930 in Waupaca, to the late Theodore and Florence (Johnson) Peterson. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1948. On August 22, 1948 she married Stanley Thatcher. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing the organ, spending time with family and friends. She and Stan faithfully attended the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Jyneen) Thatcher, Hugo, MN; Darrell (Brenda) Thatcher, Appleton, and Linda (Ron) Massey, Hilbert; and her granddaughter, Melissa (Antony) Volpe, Appleton. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stan; her brother, Gary (Arlene) Peterson and her sister, Kathleen (Ken) Salter.
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship, 1200 W. Kimberly Ave, Kimberly. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
