Donald Dey (1)Donald J. Dey, age 78, New London passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family following a short illness with Steven-Johnson Syndrome.

He was born in Shawano on August 28, 1937, son of the late Otto and Marie (Kronser) Dey. On November 7, 1959, Don was united in marriage to Shirley Tyler at St. Denis Catholic Church, Shiocton. He served his country in the US Army. He worked at Neenah Foundry for 25 years and at First State Bank, New London for 22 years. Don enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, gambling, camping and Blatz Beer.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; sons, Tim (Debra) Dey, and Brian (Marti) Dey; grandchildren: Matthew Dey (special friend Brittney), Blake Dey, McKenzie Dey (special friend Jake) and Mitchell Dey (special friend Hailee); a great-grandson, Brantley Dey; a sister, Phyllis Beyer and his special buddy, Mark Wolfe. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in-law, William and Ida Tyler, and also numerous brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Don will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Robert Groher officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
