Teams headed to county meet Saturday

Team scores for the boys were Bonduel (178), Weyauwega-Fremont (111), Iola-Scandinavia (104), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (80), Manawa (50), Shiocton (44), Pacelli (30) and Amherst (27).
Bonduel also took top honors in the girls division with 158.5 points, followed by Shiocton (104.5), Manawa (82), Weyauwega-Fremont (68), Iola-Scandinavia (63), Pacelli (62), Amherst (53) and Wittenberg-Birnamwood (42).
Top finishers for Iola-Scandinavia included the girls’ 3,200-meter relay team, first; Hunter Frye, second, girls’ 200-meter dash; Kristian Welch, first, 100-meter dash, and second, 200; Leighten Fischer, first, girls’ 800-meter run, and second, long jump; Jada Beacom, second, girls’ 1,600-meter run; Joe Makovec, first, boys’ 1600; Erika Kisting, first, girls’ 3,200-meter run; Jalen Block, first, boys’ 3,200; and Payton Wester, second, girls’ triple jump.
Top finishers for Manawa included the boys’ 800- and 1,600-meter relay teams, first; Lexi Smiles, first, girls’ 400-meter run; Laynie Bessette, second, girls’ 400; and Daniel Teuscher, second, boys’ triple jump.
Top finishers for Weyauwega-Fremont included Cara Volz, first, girls’ 100-meter hurdles and triple jump; the girls’ 400- and 800-meter relays team, second; Ryanne Benz, second, girls’ 800-meter run; Becky Schroeder, first, high jump; Gwynette Koch, first, shot put; Alyssa Goode, second, shot put; and the boys’ 400-meter relay team, first.
I-S, Manawa and W-F will compete in the Waupaca County Meet Saturday, April 23, at Waupaca High School. Events will get underway at 9:30 a.m.
