Iola-Scandinavia play at home Saturday

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds suffered a 5-2 loss to the Bonduel Bears at home on Thursday, April 21.
Neither team got on the board until the second inning.
Blake Stoss got a base hit to load up the bases for the Bears, followed by a hit by Brandon Olson that brought in two runs.
Brady Snyder was walked when he went to bat for the T-Birds and later crossed the plate, leaving the score at 2-1.
It was three up, three down for the Bears in the third inning. Then the T-Birds added another point to the board when Nate Korb scored on an overthrown ball.
The score remained tied at 2-2 until the fifth inning. Bonduel scored one run on a wild pitch and another on an RBI by Brant Pieper, leaving the Bears up 4-2.
The Bears added one more run in the sixth inning to secure a 5-2 victory.
Winning pitcher for the Bears was Wyatt Erb, while Seth Korb took the loss for the T-Birds.
Iola-Scandinavia will be back in action at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23 in a non-conference double header with Marathon at Taylor Field in Iola.
