She was born on June 9, 1929, West Bloomfield, daughter of the late John and Alma (Behm) Yanke. Naomi was united in marriage to John Sasman on July 13, 1968 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. She worked as a secretary for a VP at AAL, Appleton prior to her marriage and later was a stay at home mom raising their six children in their Bear Creek home. Naomi enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, gardening flowers, and crocheting. She also enjoyed her cats and butterflies. She was a member of Grace Lutheran in Bear Creek for many years, singing in the choir and volunteering in Ladies Aid.
Naomi is survived by her children: Kathy Sasman, Philip (Myrna) Sasman, Annette (Michael) Laughlin, Kevin (Suzette) Sasman and Janet Sasman; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Sasman. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John (2015); son, Michael Sasman; and a grandson, Troy Sasman.
Funeral services for Naomi will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bear Creek with Rev. Michael Stock officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Bear Creek. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
