Joshua Ryan Nieto, age 21, of New London, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his residence.
Josh was born on July 6, 1994 in Neenah to Paul and Karrie (Church) Nieto. Josh loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family. Josh fulfilled a lifelong dream to serve his country as a member of the US Army. He was a combat medic and served a tour in Afghanistan. He was stationed in Vilseck, Germany and then Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri until his discharge. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him including his dog, Honey Girl.
Joshua is survived by his parents; brothers, Michael and Paul Jr.; significant other, Courtney Price; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Knaack, New London; paternal grandparents, Ben and Nancy Nieto, New London; uncles and aunts, Rich (Jen) Church, Jackson; Ben (Krista) Nieto, Traverse City, MI; Tony Nieto, New London and Joe Nieto, New London.
A memorial service for Josh will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Rev. Greg Watling will be officiating. Full military honors will be held.
