W-F sweeps Len Rohde Open

Iola-Scandinavia boys, girls finish second

Team scores for the girls were W-F (202), Iola-Scandinavia (138), Amherst (93), Wolf River Lutheran (18) and Almond-Bancroft (8). Team scores for boys were W-F (148), I-S (106), A-B (93), Amherst (92), Wolf River Lutheran (45) and Starr Academy (1).

Placing first for the Indians were Cara Volz in the girls’ 400-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles and triple jump; Gwynette Koch in the girls’ shot put and discus; Daisy Wilson in the girls’ 800-meter run; Andi Ponto in the girls’ high jump; Hannah Sroka in the girls’ pole vault; the girls’ 400-meter relay team of Natalie Schneider, Marissa Mason, Sroka and Kim Gilbert; the girls’ 800-meter relay team of Mikaela Hintz, Mason, Sroka and Mikyla Reeck; the 1,600-meter relay team of Hintz, Schneider, Abby Wheaton and Wilson; Dylan Pankow in the boys’ 110-meter hurdles and triple jump; Brandon Hanes in the boys’ discus; Hunter McClone in the boys’ pole vault; the boys’ 400 relay team of Payton Magdanz, Pankow, Jacob Hablewitz and McClone; and the boys’ 1,600 relay team of Hanes, Chris Young, Tristan Wollersheim and Alex Bartel.

Firsts for I-S went to Hunter Frye in the girls’ 100-meter dash; Makenna Brown in the girls’ 200-meter dash; Erika Kisting in the girls’ 1,600-meter run; Leighten Fischer in the girls’ long jump; the girls’ 3,200-meter relay team of Fischer, Kali Finch, Kisting and Brynn Rasmussen; Kristian Welch in the boys’ 100 and 200; Jalen Block in the boys’ 800 and 1,600; and Joe Makovec in the boys’ 3,200-meter run.
