GOP forum in Manawa

Congressional candidates to speak June 15

Republican candidates for U.S. Congress from Wisconsin’s 8th District will appear at a forum at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Little Wolf Town Hall, E6325 County Trunk N, Manawa.

The candidates running in the Aug. 9 primary election for the seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble are Terry McNulty, Forestville Village president and surveyor; Frank Lasee, Wisconsin state senator; and Mike Gallagher, market strategist for an energy company.

All three Republican candidates plan to attend and will take questions from the audience.

Ribble has held Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District seat since his election in 2010. He kept his campaign promise to limit his tenure to eight years, so he is not seeking re-election.

The forum is sponsored by the Waupaca County Republican Party.
