Timothy M. Murphy, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI.
He was born May 20, 1956 in Northampton, MA; son of Edward and Janet (Johnson) Murphy. After high school, Tim joined the military and served as a proud Marine. He spent the rest of his career as a steel worker in Eau Claire, WI. Tim was a passionate man and proud to be Irish. He was a proud father and “Papa”. His grandchildren brought light and lots of love into his life. Tim was known for his passion for sports, whether it be the Packers, Red Sox, or Celtics. The neighbors always knew when there was a game on. He touched more lives and had an impact on more people than he realized. His “tell it like it is” passionate personality will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Tim is survived by a son, Kyle Murphy of Little Chute, WI; a daughter, Karlee (Christopher) Guay of Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Ruby Guay, Isiah Murphy, and Grady Murphy; and his brothers and sisters, Edward “Ted” (Karen) Murphy of Waupaca, WI; Karin Williams of Weyauwega, WI; Colleen (Dan) Murphy-Peterson of Waupaca, WI, and Kevin (Kaye Anderson) Murphy of Waupaca, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Janet Murphy, and one brother, Thomas Murphy.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Friday evening, June 17, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 244 Industrial Drive, Waupaca, WI. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a sharing of memories by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Timothy M. Murphy. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
