She was born on May 19, 1916, in Saxeville, daughter of the late Carl and Alice (McGowan) Jensen. She loved sewing, crafts, upholstering and was a caregiver to all who knew her. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden. Lucille was a waitress at various restaurants in the New London area until the age of 72.
She is survived by her daughters, Dona Gabert, New London; Sharon (Glenn) Kluge, Hortonville; Nancy (Del) Jeffers, New London; Louwauana Brown, Florida; Bonnie Spencer, New London; Alice (Bob) Elsner, New London; Edith (Tom) Handschke, New London and Marsha (Rick) Waite, Clintonville; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Spencer, New London; half brothers, Howard (Agnes) Palmer, Waupaca; Milton (Marilynn) Palmer, New London; a brother-in-law, Bob (JoAnn) Spencer; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren and twenty-two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; two sons, Jack and Jerry and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Lucille will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
