County I to be closed for six weeks
County Trunk I, between Kluth and Hanson roads southeast of Clintonville, will be closed starting Tuesday, June 21.
The Waupaca County Department is reconstructing the County I intersections with County Trunk Y and Paape Road in the town of Matteson.
The project will include removing pavement and topsoil, widening the roadway, realigning the curve at County Y, improving drainage and replacing all culverts.
The project area will remain in gravel until the summer of 2017 when the roadway will be paved.
County I is scheduled to be closed for approximately six weeks. Traffic will be detoured from County I to Kluth Road to Seventh Street, to County Y, to Hanson Road back to County I.
The highway department is working with local emergency agencies to inform of them of this road closure.
