Lemke, Lois A 02 croppedLois A. Lemke, age 83 of Clintonville, passed away late Monday, June 20, 2016 at Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Lois Ann Lemke was born August 30, 1932 to the late Walter and Sophie (Pomerenke) Lemke. After she had finished her schooling, Lois worked briefly at Weiland’s Restaurant, Clintonville, as a waitress. She then moved to the Milwaukee area where she was hired as a lab technician with Globe Union Inc., building circuit boards. She also found time for teaching Sunday school at Lincoln Park Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, as well as bowling in her younger years. Lois retired from Globe in 1991, after over 40 years of service. In her retirement, she found plenty of time for traveling, including places like: Las Vegas and Hawaii, and even Ireland and the Netherlands. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and loved to watch her T.V. shows, especially the QVC shopping network. She will be remembered for being a kind, friendly, and helpful person with an unstoppable work ethic.

She is survived by: her brother, Lloyd Lemke, Clintonville; her sister-in-law, Ardis Lemke, Tigerton; her beloved cat, Cashmere; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and many sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, with the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
