Local businesses, political campaigns, bands, churches, civic and charitable groups provided music, vintage vehicles and floats to make this year’s Independence Day parade.
The parade made its way down Main Street Waupaca Monday, July 4.
The fire truck sirens at the start of Waupaca’s annual Fourth of July parade were a bit too loud for Owen Hartwig, 2, of Waupaca. He sat on the shoulders of his dad, Mark, for the hour-long parade, which started on Mill Street and continued on Main Street. See more photos inside.

John Koronkiewicz waves to the parade crowd while riding in a truck with Waupaca High School’s Division 2 state spring baseball championship trophy. Koronkiewicz coached the Comets to the school’s first-ever state baseball title and retired from teaching and coaching after the 2015-16 season. Koronkiewicz also coached two Comet football teams to state championships in 2006 and 2008.
