Roger R. Piehl

Piehl, RogerRoger R. Piehl of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home.

Roger was born in Clintonville as the son of Raymond and Molly (Schoenike) Piehl. He graduated from Clintonville High School and began farming with his father on the family farm in Larrabee. Roger was united in marriage to Carla Mielke on October 14, 1972 in Black Creek. The couple resided on the family farm and enjoyed listening to polka music and attending polka dances. Carla preceded her husband in death on March 1, 2009. Roger enjoyed feeding the wildlife on his farm and watching the deer and birds. He also loved to care for his dog; half a pint.

Survivors include: 2 Sisters: LaVonne (Roger) Hohn, Kaukauna & Darlene (John) Lange, Clintonville. Sister-in-Law: Sandy Mielke, Black Creek. Niece: Janis (Fiance; Rodney Quaintance) Hohn, Kaukauna. 3 Nephews: Kevin (Trish) Hohn, Minneapolis, MN; Mike (Peggy) Mielke, Black Creek. Brad Mielke, Black Creek. A Great-Niece: Kiara Hohn, Minneapolis, MN. Also his Sheltie Collie: Half a Pint. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carla, and a brother-in-law; Lyle Mielke.

Roger’s funeral service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 1 PM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Benjamin Hollingsead officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12 PM until the time of the service. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
