Woman charged with battery, again

A Weyauwega woman out on bail after being charged for battery of her boyfriend is now accused of punching her boyfriend’s mother.

Ashley L. Fletcher, 29, is charged with battery, disorderly conduct and two counts of felony bail jumping.

She appeared in court on March 3 on charges of possession of narcotics and substantial battery. She was released on a $2,000 signature bond.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 20, Waupaca County Deputy David Huberty was dispatched to a home on North Shore Road in Royalton.

He spoke with a woman who said Fletcher and her son, Robby Kuenzi, were arguing in the presence of their young boy, who was sitting in a vehicle outside the home.

As the verbal altercation became more heated, the woman, who is also the child’s grandmother, walked over to the vehicle and picked up the boy.

Fletcher then allegedly punched the woman two or three times in the face, then grabbed her by the wrist and twisted it.

Fletcher told investigators she acted in self defense and accused the grandmother of hitting her first, according to the criminal complaint.

Fletcher was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.
