Gannett to close Print ‘N Press

MMC seeking new offices in Waupaca

By Robert Cloud

The Waupaca County Post learned Monday that Gannett will close its Waupaca printing plant, Print ‘N Press.

Print ‘N Press is set to close on Dec. 3.

Gannett purchased Journal Media Group Inc., which owned Print ‘N Press in Waupaca, in April 2016.

At press time, Gannett had not responded to requests for comment on the closing of the Print ‘N Press facility.

Multi Media Channels LLC, the parent company of the Waupaca County Post, shares the same facility at 600 Industrial Drive on Waupaca’s east side.

Although Print ‘N Press prints MMC’s publications, MMC is not affiliated with Print ‘N Press or Gannett.

According to Tom Wood, MMC’s chief financial officer, Gannett gave MMC a notice of termination of their printing contract on Oct. 3.

Wood noted that MMC’s business continues to grow, and it plans to relocate its offices from Industrial Drive to another facility in the Waupaca area.
