Ray was born on February 16, 1937 in New London, Wisconsin, son of Louis and Lillian (Niehoff) Meshnick. On July 1, 1967, Ray married Carol Everts at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Ray took correspondence course work from Chicago Technical College for Building Construction. He worked for both Joski in Green Bay and Globe Contractors in New Berlin. Ray was a master woodworker and perfectionist. He won many blue ribbons for his fancy wood vases and boxes, but was most proud of building the house that he and Carol resided in. Ray loved camping, traveling, and fishing. His favorite fishing spot was Lake Tomahawk in northern Wisconsin. He also never missed the opportunity to watch his grandchildren play ball. He loved watching the Brewers and Packers.
Ray is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol; two sons, Steve (Dee Dee) Meshnick and Scott (Denise) Meshnick both of New London; grandchildren, Sam, Paige, Hannah, and Renee; brothers, Peter Meshnick, Neenah and Mark (Kathy) Meshnick, Neilsville; and sisters, Mary (Rich) Davis, Los Angeles, CA and Ann Bonikowske, Manawa. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jim, Chuck, David, and Norbert; and one sister, Helen.
