Driver airlifted after crash
A 26-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries from a crash in Waupaca County Friday night.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 99 mph at 10:17 p.m. on U.S. Highway 10 in the town of Lind.
The driver turned south on Holiday Road, traveled about one-half mile, then lost control and overturned his vehicle in the east ditch. He was thrown from the vehicle.
The man was airlifted to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
No names have been released at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
