Two hurt in crash

Victims airlifted to Neenah Friday morning

Two people were critically injured in a one-vehicle crash shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday in the town of St. Lawrence.

Waupaca County deputies were called out to the E3000 block of Colrue Road, just south of Buntrock Road.

They found a man, later identified as the driver, lying on the pavement. A passerby had stopped and was attending him.

A severely damaged four-door car was in the northbound ditch and had collided head-on with several trees.

A woman was trapped inside the vehicle. Ogdensburg firefighters extricated her from the vehicle.

The driver and passenger were treated at the scene by Ogdensburg and St. Lawrence first responders and by paramedics with Gold Cross Ambulance.

They were then airlifted with critical but non-life-threatening injuries to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

The names of the victims have not been released yet.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the crash.
