Wolves lose at home

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds took home a 59-42 win over the Manawa Wolves Friday, Dec. 2.
The T-Birds scored 12 three-pointers during the game.
During the first half Kendal Johnson scored 12 of her game-high 16 points for Iola-Scandinavia, while Laynie Bessette scored 10 for Manawa.
During the second half of the game, the Wolves had a balanced scoring effort across the team, but it was not enough as Leighten Fischer sank 12 points for Iola-Scandinavia, giving the T-Birds the victory.
Leading the scoring for Manawa was Bessette with 14, followed by Haley Reierson with 9 and Kassidee Zander with 7.
Topping the scoring for Iola-Scandinavia was Johnson and Fischer with 16 each, followed by Mia Wandtke with 14 and Bryanna Kisting with 7.
The T-Birds will be back in action on Friday, Dec. 9 when they host Weyauwega-Fremont. The Wolves will travel to Shiocton to take on the Chiefs.
