Dorothy was born on June 29, 1921, daughter to the late Walter and Elvira (Krueger) Stitchman. She lived on the family farm for 39 years while working at Flanagan Bros Sauerkraut Factory. Dorothy moved to the city in 1960 and worked in homes for the elderly for many years. She was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London. Dorothy was a kind woman with a large heart who was selfless and giving. Her faith brought her comfort and she looked forward to visits from her Pastors, especially when she was physically unable to get to church services, although she listened to them on the radio.
She is survived by her close friends: Mark and Amy Maass, their children’s families: John Heger, Andrea Sugden and their son Logan; Marissa and Ronald Quella; and the multiple neighbors and friends who were truly like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents.
