Manawa gets nonconference win

Jeven Sachtjen’s double-double helped the Manawa boys’ basketball hand Tigerton a 69-56 nonconference loss Jan. 5.
Sachtjen scored a team-high 16 points and added 15 rebounds.
The Wolves led 35-27 at halftime behind nine points from Ethan Hass and Sachtjen’s eight rebounds.
Manawa then outscored the Tigers 34-29 in the second half.
Tigerton’s Alan Parrott led all scorers with 21 points.
Manawa will return to Central Wisconsin 8 Conference play Tuesday, Jan. 10, at home against Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
