New London loses big to Antigo

Bulldogs fall in regional quarterfinals

The 10th-seeded Bulldogs had their season ended with an 82-51 road loss to No. 7 seed Antigo in the WIAA Division II regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

New London junior guard Kyle wolf led the way with 15 points, while junior forward Brayden Kurth scored five points with seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocks.

The Bulldogs trailed 36-20 at halftime and struggled to keep Antigo from scoring, as the Red Robins added 46 points in the second half to pull away from New London.

Bulldogs’ Logan Locy was moved up to the varsity team for the tournament and added nine points with five rebounds.

Sophomore Brennan Stroethenruther and senior Devin Winkler each scored seven points in New London’s season-ending loss.

The Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-12 overall record, including 5-9 in the Bay Conference.
