Crash on State 54

Two people were thrown from their car during a crash in New London.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Friday, New London police responded to a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 54 just west of Outagamie County Trunk S.

According to police, a 1930 Chevy driven by a 66-year-old Hortonville man with a 68-year-old male passenger from Appleton turned west from County S onto State 54. They were headed to the Iola Car Show.

A 2002 Dodge Stratus driven by a 38-year-old man from Green Bay was westbound on State 54 and rear-ended the Chevy.

The Chevy went into the ditch, rolled over and its two occupants were ejected. Both of them were transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The driver of the Stratus was not injured.

No citations have been issued and no names have been released yet as the crash remains under investigation at this time.
