State 54 road work

Three-week detour planned

Work to improve 4.25 miles of State Highway 54 in Waupaca County is slated to begin as early as Monday, July 24.

Crews will resurface the road, repair culverts and improve drainage between State 22/110 and the Royalton railroad overpass.

Improvements include replacing large culverts on either side of Marsh Road, and replacing some curb and gutter and sidewalk at the intersections with County Trunk B and at Depot Street.

A three-week detour is planned when crews are replacing culverts on either side of Marsh Road. During the closure, State 54 will be detoured via State 22 and U.S. Highway 45.

Construction is scheduled for completion by mid-September 2017, depending on weather conditions and construction progress.
