The National Weather Service in Green Bay reported a strong thunderstorm near Amherst about 14 miles northwest of Waupaca at 8:16 a.m. Wednesday.
The storm is moving east at about 40 mph.
Pea-sized hail and winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this storm.
Nearly all of Waupaca County will be impacted, including Waupaca, Iola, Manawa, Weyauwega, New London, Clintonville and Marion.
If outdoors, the National Weather Service recommends seeking shelter inside a building.
