Two suspects have admitted to the vandalism spree that hit downtown Waupaca Saturday, Aug. 24.
Shortly before 7 a.m., Waupaca police responded to Doran Hareware store at 225 Jefferson St.
Several garden stones had been thrown through the store’s large front display window.
Four other downtown businesses reported damage.
The damage to all five businesses totaled more than $6,950, according to the Waupaca Police Department.
Waupaca Police Officer Thomas Grant reviewed security video from area businesses and was able to identify several individuals.
When Grant interviewed the suspects, two of them admitted they were responsible for the damage.
Charges against Roy P. Krueger, 20, Weyauwega, have been referred to the Waupaca County district attorney’s office.
A 15-year-old boy has been referred to the county for juvenile intake.
