Annette was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Athen E. Tohm, and Amanda M. Tohm (Gregorius). She moved with her parents from Milwaukee to Manawa, WI and graduated from Manawa High School in 1951, and married Donald R. Jepson on May 14, 1954 in Black Creek, WI. She had worked as a secretary for Cleaver Brooks in Milwaukee, as a secretary for Leyse Aluminum in Manitowoc, and was an artist at June Zimonick’s Studio in Green Bay. Annette was a very caring and loving wife and mother who adored and cherished her family. She is well known for her energy, enthusiasm, and dedication, and was always known to be happy, and often whistled while she worked. She was a cheerleader in high school, was very active in her church, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was an artist, including designing and creating eggery and decoupage while at Zimonick’s, and she also designed the two homes that she and Donald built. She was involved in numerous church activities and even helped start two mission churches. Annette was a youth leader at Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo, WI where she raised her family. She was involved with choir, altar guild, was a lifeguard for the youth group, and was one of the founding members of Vacation Bible School. At her Iola church, Redeemer Ev. Lutheran, she wore many hats, including Sunday School Superintendent and teacher for both Sunday School and Confirmation. She also taught in the weekly bible school, and was affectionately known as the “flower lady”.
Annette is loved and will be missed by her husband of 63 years, Donald; daughter, Jan Paluch (husband Joe); twin sons, Kurt and Keith; and her son, Jac (significant other Sue); grandchildren: Jerimia Paluch (wife Julie), Bobbi-jo Paluch (significant other Johnathan), Jon-Erik Jepson, Michael Jepson, and Jacquelyn Jepson; great-grandchildren: Mason, Christian and Brayden (Paluch); brothers-in-law, Charles Jepson (wife Sally, nee Kottke) and Gary Jepson (wife Kerri, nee Arndt); nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and many near and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald’s parents, Rolland and Genevieve (McLaughlin), sister Audrey Kaminsky and Audrey’s husband Herbert, brother-in-law James Jepson and wife Helen (Leischow).
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, 125 North Street, Iola, WI with Rev. Lilienthal officiating. There will be a visitation from 10-11, with church service at 11, followed by a luncheon at noon. She will be laid to rest at Central Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in King, WI on Sept. 15th. Donations in her memory will be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Iola WI. Kwiatkowski Funeral Home, Omro is assisting the family.
