Clean sweep against Marion

The Manawa Wolves volleyball team defeated the Marion Mustangs Tuesday, Sept. 12, at home.
Manawa won three games by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-10 in a Central Wisconsin North Conference match-up.
Laynie Bessette led the Wolves with 11 points followed by Lesley Wilz with 9 and Morgyn Zielke and Sydney Bailey with 8 each. Among Zielke’s 8 points, 7 of them were aces.
Chloe Johnson had 15 digs with Wilz adding 11.
Wilz also led the team with 12 assists.
The Wolves will travel to Tigerton on Sept. 14 with the JV game to begin at 6 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m.
