‘Big Bundle Up’ underway

Chamber collecting winter clothing

The Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce is participating in “The Big Bundle Up Campaign.”

It invites residents to drop off new or gently used coats, sweaters, hats, mittens and other warm clothing items at the chamber’s office as part of this Wisconsin Department of Tourism campaign.

Items may be dropped off at the chamber from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Jan. 2, which is when the statewide collection program ends.

Waupaca’s chamber office is located at 221 S. Main St.

The items collected locally will be donated to the Waupaca Area Miracle Tree.

This is the seventh year of the “The Big Bundle Up Campaign.”

To date, the program has collected more than 103,400 winter items to help families in need.

Other collection sites include Travel Wisconsin Welcome Centers, which are located throughout the state.

People may visit TravelWisconsin.com for a full listing of donation sites.

For more information, contact the chamber at 715-258-7343.
