She was born in Milwaukee on December 6, 1923 to the late Ernest and Lillian (Hanneman) Krause. She married Earl G. Rebstock on May 22, 1953; he preceded her in death on February 27, 2005. Helen started working early when she started driving a lumber truck at age 12 and cooking in her dad’s lumber camp. During WWII she sewed parachutes. Helen also upholstered furniture in her basement. She and her husband Earl loved playing cards and especially enjoyed traveling with neighborhood friends. She and Earl traveled to all 50 states.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Robert (Patricia) Drake of Weyauwega, David Rebstock of King, Keith (Angelika) Rebstock of Cedarburg, Suanne Rebstock of Horicon; grandchildren: Matthew (Vicki Buksyk) Drake, David (Andrea) Rebstock Jr., Jessica Rebstock, Sean (Jessica) Rebstock, Chad (Jessica) Rebstock, Theodore (Karla) Rebstock, Trent Rebstock, Rebecca Loerhke, Jessica Schalkowski, Leslie (Brian) Baehman; sisters, Germaine Collins and Ruth Rolstad; brother, Ernest (Patricia) Krause; 24 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mitzie Zellmer and Imogene Olson; brother, Charles Krause.
The Memorial Service will be on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca. Friends and family may gather on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials will be directed to Bob’s mission, Pet Therapy.
