Holiday woes

Comedy focuses on family gatherings

By Margie Brown

The Wolf River Theatrical Troupe presents “A Good Old-Fashioned Big Family Christmas.”
Starring some real-life couples – Mickey and Wally Schmidt, Mark and Patty Grossman, Pete and Wendy Lauer, among others – this comedy will hit home with anyone who has tried to host the perfect family holiday.

Hayden’s wife, Judith, and her sisters are worried about their parents. “They argue all the time,” Judith says.

When she mentions this to Hayden, he casually suggests maybe the sisters could spend some time with the parents and squelch any arguments.

The next thing Hayden knows, the girls are planning a huge Christmas party for the whole family. “And it was all Hayden’s idea!” Let’s just say that things don’t quite go as planned.

Join in the fun at the theater, 304 St. John’s Place in New London, Nov. 30, Dec. 1, and Dec. 7-9, at 7 p.m. The Saturday, Dec. 2 matinee show is sold out.

Reservations can be made by calling Judy McDaniel at 920-982-6060. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
