She was born in Milwaukee on January 10, 1930 to Henry and Marie (Koeckritz) Brester. She was united in marriage to Robert Rachu on March 10, 1973. Beverly worked for many years as a health aide at the hospital, but her true passion was cooking for the kids at school. She was the epitome of a people person, greeting everyone and sending everyone off with a hug. She and those hugs will be dearly missed.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Robert; children: Floyd (Mary) Roberts Jr. of Grafton, Marie (Richard) Pellerino of Waupaca, Dennis (Theresa) Roberts of Menomonee Falls, Geno (Deborah) Roberts of Waupaca, Debra (Jerry) Borst of Horicon and Cindy (Robert) Haydu of Texas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, a sister, Joyce Harris of New London, a brother, Robert (Pat) Brester of New Berlin, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Christine; brothers, Henry and Alan Brester, and sister, Marilyn Williams.
To celebrate the wonderful life Beverly lived, a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11 a.m., Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waupaca, with Pastor Ron Siemers officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Maple Crest Funeral Home from 1 to 4 p.m. and again on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
