Irish caroling at assisted living center

Singers visit Trinity Terrace

By Scott Bellile

As part of a St. Patrick’s week tradition in the city of “New Dublin,” community members stopped by Trinity Terrace Assisted Living to sing Irish carols to residents on Wednesday, March 14.

The Shamrock Club of New Dublin performed traditional Irish tunes that evening at two other senior centers, St. Joseph Residence and The Washington Center.

Irish festivities in New London will continue with Irish Entertainment Night Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at New London High School; the Irish Ceili dance Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m. at Crystal Falls Banquet Facility; and the Grand Parade and Irish Fest Saturday, March 17, at 1 p.m. in downtown New London.

The Irish royalty this year are Irish Rose Arlene Birkholz, Irish Man Randy Genske and Parade Grand Marshals Dan and Lovana Rice.
