Waupaca County sheriff’s report March 19

• March 18 – A 14-year-old caller from Center Street, Waupaca, reported his mother took pills the previous day and was still in bed.

• March 18 – Menasha caller said her 2-year-old daughter became sick after eating a Tootsie roll at the St. Patrick Day parade in New London. New London police reported receiving 10 complaints of people being made ill from parade candy.

• March 18 – Anonymous caller said she was at a bowling alley in New London and one of the occupants of a car in the parking lot seemed to be “tweaking out,” while another occupant had passed out.

• March 18 – An 18-year-old caller from the E6700 block of State Highway 54, New London, reported his mother assaulted him, grabbed him by the shirt and slapped him.

• March 18 – Caller from Granite Street, Waupaca, reported her children were crying and afraid to go to her ex-husband’s house because he spanks them and threatens to put them in a foster home.

• March 18 – Caller from Kimberly requested a welfare check on her 74-year-old mother who was depressed and told neighbors she would burn down her home with herself in it.

• March 17 – ThedaCare in Waupaca reported a 25-year-old woman came to the emergency room seeking treatment after intentionally overdosing on her medications.

• March 17 – Julie’s Crystal Lounge, Churchill Street, Waupaca, reported a man in the bar making threatening comments and refusing to leave.

• March 16 – Caller from the N6300 block of Diane Court, Manawa, reported his former boss and another man were at his house trying to kick in his door and accusing him of stealing.

• March 16 – Caller from N1700 block of Sue Lane, Waupaca, reported his neighbors came over and took some wood and now they’re burning it. When he confronted them, they denied taking the wood, so he requested an officer.

• March 16 – Sandbur Corners, County Trunk E, Ogdensburg, reported a $31.64 gas drive off.

• March 16 – Farmers State Bank, Session Street, Waupaca, reported a 45-year-old woman visited the bank several times that day but did not remember she had been there earlier. She appeared confused and shaky.

• March 16 – Fleet Farm, Waupaca, reported retaining a man for shoplifting.

• March 15 – Caller from Ellefson Street, Iola, reported her 8-year-old son was kicking, hitting, swearing, biting and spitting.

• March 15, Taco Bell, Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a car full of intoxicated people in the parking lot.

• March 15 – Banjos Bar, West Fulton Street, Waupaca, reported a woman was trying to take other people’s drinks because the bartender cut her off.

• March 15 – Caller from E2300 block of Parfreyville Road, Waupaca, reported a dog was outside his house barking and trying to attack him.

• March 14 – Social worker at a drug rehab facility in Appleton reported a New London woman was driving around high on heroin with her child in the car.

• March 13 – The Probation and Parole office, Churchill Street, Waupaca, requested assistance with a warrant to take guns out of the house of a Clintonville man who threatened to kill his stepfather and burn down his stepfather’s house.

• March 13 – Caller requested assistance in picking up her baby from her boyfriend’s parents who refused to speak to her after her boyfriend was arrested for battery as an act of domestic abuse.

• March 13 – Caller from Tower Road, Waupaca, reported a friend had been sending suicidal messages and telling her to call the police.
