Students to perform musical

Waupaca Middle School students are preparing to present “Mary Poppins, Jr.”

Performances are set for 7 p.m. Monday, April 9; 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12; and 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the school’s Gerald C. Knoepfel Auditorium.

All seats are reserved, with tickets priced at $5.

There is no charge for children age 3 and under.

People may order tickets by calling the ticket hotline at 715-467-2706 and leaving a message.

Tickets are also available at the door.

The Broadway musical is based on the 1964 Walt Disney Motion picture, “Mary Poppins.”

The cast of the middle school production numbers more than 70 students and is under the direction of Laurel Leder, Shana Rogney and Lori Jungers.

Choreography is being handled by Molly Phair, with additional coaching by Jenny Lewis.

The show includes singing, dancing and magic as Poppins and her friend Bert show George Banks and his family what it means to stay together.
