Criminal sentencing

Recent convictions, sentencings and dismissals from felony cases in Waupaca County Circuit Court.

• Judge Vicki Clussman sentenced John P. Hanson, 44, Clintonville, to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision.

Conditions of Hanson’s supervision include maintaining absolute sobriety and avoiding taverns.

Hanson was convicted of a seventh drunken driving offense.

• Judge Troy Nielsen sentenced Arthur D. Stickles, 56, Iola, to two years in prison and two years of extended supervision.

Stickles was convicted of delivery of heroin. Two more counts of delivery of heroin were dismissed but read into the record for sentencing purposes.

Nielsen ordered Stickles to pay $1,218 in court costs and restitution to the sheriff’s office for the $700 a confidential informant paid to buy heroin from Stickles.

• Judge Raymond Huber sentenced Angela G. Jankowski, 41, Marion to 100 days in jail, assessed her $2,924 in fines and court costs, revoked her license for 36 months and ordered her to install an ignition interlock device for 36 months. He also placed her on one year of probation following her jail time.

Jankowski was convicted of a fourth drunken driving offense, obstructing an officer and possession of marijuana.

• Clussman placed Justin S. Fletcher, 20, New London on one year of probation and ordered him to pay $882 in court costs.

Fletcher was convicted of criminal trespass to a dwelling. Charges of obstructing an officer and felony bail jumping were dismissed but read into the court record for sentencing purposes.

Conditions of Fletcher’s probation include that he not consume or possess any illegal drugs and that he participate in any counseling recommended by his probation agent.

• Nielsen placed Tessa L. Reed, 26, Waupaca on three years of probation and ordered her to pay $1,036 in court costs.

Reed was convicted of possession of methamphetamine and felony bail jumping.

Conditions of her probation include that she not consume or possess alcohol or illegal drugs and participate in any treatment recommended by her agent.

• Clussman placed Alyssa E. Rusch-Laredo, 36, New London, on two years of probation and ordered her to pay $906 in court costs.

Rusch-Laredo was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor theft. One count was amended from felony forgery uttering.

• Nielsen sentenced David A. Newling, 34, Clintonville, to six months in jail to be served consecutively to the nine months he is currently serving.

Newling was convicted of escaping criminal arrest. His prior conviction was for felony child neglect.
• Huber placed Lydia A. Much, 22, Appleton, on one year of probation and ordered her to pay $778 in court costs and restitution.

Much was convicted of misdemeanor theft, which was amended from an original charge of forgery uttering.

• Clussman placed Ava D. Meighan, 23, Waupaca, on two yars of probation and ordered her to pay $518 in court costs.
Meighan was convicted of possession of methamphetamine.

Conditions of her probation include that she not possess illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia and that she participate in any counseling recommended by her agent.

• Huber placed Kevin L. Woiak, 41, New London, on two years of probation and ordered him to pay $6,134 in restitution and court costs.

Woiak was convicted of three counts of misdemeanor theft. Two counts of forgery uttering were dismissed but read into the record.

• Huber committed Jerome Drapes, 64, Waupaca, to three years under the supervision of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Drapes was found guilty but not legally responsible due to mental disease of felony bail jumping and two counts of disorderly conduct. A charge of threatening an officer was dismissed but read into the record.

• Nielsen imposed and stayed a sentence of six months in jail and placed Hunter B. Hohn, 18, Shawano, on two years of probation.

Hohn was convicted of obstructing an officer and two counts of theft. A count of burglary was dismissed but read into the record.

Nielsen also ordered Hohn to pay $1,349 in restitution and court costs.

• Clussman sentenced Stephen I. Roberson, 31, Wisconsin Rapids, to five months in jail.

Roberson was convicted of substantial battery. A charge of battery by a prisoner was dismissed but read into the record.

Roberson is a safekeeper inmate from Wood County, where he faces charges of first-degree reckless endangerment.
