Foundation hosts gala

Grants to be awarded

The Waupaca Area Community Foundation’s annual gala fundraiser is set for Friday, June 15, at the Par 4 Resort (formerly The Ale House).

The social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by an elegant dinner at 7 p.m.

Guests will be entertained by Waupaca High School and St. Olaf College graduates Lindsay Neuville and Heather Bayer.

Tim and Joy Neuville are underwriting the entire event so that 100 percent of ticket sales and contributions will benefit the WACF fund. Last year, gala donations raised more than $85,000..

The Waupaca Area Community Foundation provides grants and other incentives to nonprofit groups throughout the region.

In 2017 the WACF awarded nearly $350,000.00 to a wide array of charitable organizations, including CAP Services, Waupaca Area Food Pantry, Weyauwega Arts, Waupaca Community Garden and Rawhide.

A total of nearly $3 million in grants have been awarded since the foundation was formed, according to WACF Chairman Tim Neuville.
