Robert Lee Hansen, age 88, passed away peacefully July 6, 2018 at his home in Burlington, WI surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born June 20, 1930 in Omaha, NE, to the late Hans C. Hansen and Lula Nelsen. He married his college sweetheart Doris Jean Hanson on June 12, 1958. Robert graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha and later moved to Grand Island, NE. He was employed at Miller Pontiac in sales and was quickly recruited by Buick Motor Division as district sales manager. After stops in Cedar Rapids and St. Louis, they landed in Brookfield, WI. By 1964, Robert and Doris had three children. Robert continued his career with Buick Motor Division in the Milwaukee zone until he retired in 1987. Robert enjoyed singing in the church choir and the Belcanto Chorus and accompanying the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in Christmas Concerts. Robert was an active Mason of the Milwaukee Shrine Temple. He was also an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Iola, WI and an avid golfer at The Iola Glacier Woods Golf Club.
Robert will be dearly missed by his loving wife Doris and their children, Kristine Kay (Gary) Huss , John Robert (Dawn) Hansen, Carol Lynn (Scott) Johnson. He is further survived by his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
