Botanical art at library

Submissions sought for exhibit

The Waupaca Area Public Library is holding a public submission exhibit of botanical art.

Art made with plants will be displayed in the library’s exhibit room from Monday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Sept. 14.

People are invited to bring fairy houses, living wreaths, succulent gardens, wall hangings and more to the library for this exhibit.

Those who want to submit something for the exhibit may email Brigid Ferkett at [email protected] for more details.

They may also pick up an entry form at the library, or download the form from the its website www.waupacalibrary.org and then drop it off at the library.

The library will also hold three programs for the public to create a living wreath to display in the exhibit.

The programs will take place at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the exhibit room, as well as 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Waupaca Senior Center.

Library staff and volunteers will help people make living wreaths or planter boxes for the exhibit.
All supplies will be provided.

The fee is $15 to benefit exhibit room programs.

Registration is required.

People may register for the program on the library’s website.

They will be able to take their items home when the exhibit ends.
