Police identify injured pedestrian

Jack Penney, 86, Waupaca, was the man injured in a pedestrian-vehicle accident Sunday, according to Waupaca Police Chief Brian Hoelzel.

Penney is a longtime Waupaca County supervisor.

The accident happened about 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the corner of Royalton and Harding streets in Waupaca.

The driver of the vehicle was 83-year-old Richard Morales, of Waupaca.

Morales was cited for failure to yield fo a pedestrian at an uncontrolled intersection.

Penney remains in the hospital, as of Monday morning.
